Job Summary
Houseparents (Full-Time Flex Houseparents) reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentoring, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule and transitions to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Applicants must be part of a married couple with both spouses completing individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
