Job Summary
Houseparents (Married Couples) at Milton Hershey School — Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus with a group of 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and a structured, family-like environment. Responsibilities include supervising routines, medication administration, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from nine-on/three-off schedule to a stable placement. Benefits include salary per person ($46,917) with comprehensive medical/dental/vision, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off. This two-person role requires both spouses to be 27+, with at least two years of marriage, and completion of individual applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for married couples
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Relocation assistance provided
- Experience working with youth (volunteer or paid)
