Job Summary
Two-person married couple will serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, living on campus in assigned student homes to supervise ~8–13 students, provide daily supervision and mentorship, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and accompany Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, with a nine-days-on, three-days-off initial schedule and eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students in their own home. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required. Benefits include salary per person $46,917 with comprehensive benefits; relocation assistance and paid training provided. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with restricted alcohol; both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse role must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Committment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Completion of individual employment applications by both spouses
