Job Summary
Married couples serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, residing on-campus in student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule across multiple homes and eventually places the couple in a single student home as a Placed Houseparent. Relocation assistance is provided along with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two spouses married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Completion of individual employment applications by both spouses
