Job Summary
Houseparents, Full-time – married couples, relocation to Hershey, PA required. Couples reside in on-campus student homes to supervise and support 8–13 students, providing care, mentorship, and structured daily routines. Responsibilities include supervising, mentoring, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from flexible to placed houseparent roles while maintaining a family-like environment. This two-person role requires a legally married couple (minimum two years) with both spouses aged 27 or older, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student vans. The role emphasizes youth engagement, safety, integrity, and professionalism, plus relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications. After hire, duties rotate across homes with an initial nine-on/three-off duty cycle, followed by placement in a consistent student home.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two years of marriage minimum (as this is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
