Job Summary
Houseparents provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students in on-campus homes, including supervising routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, and managing household budgeting and reporting. The role is a full-time, on-campus, two-person per couple position with a nine-on, three-off work cycle, transitioning to a Placed Houseparent assignment with the same student group. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required; benefits include salary per person around $44,768 annually plus comprehensive benefits and housing; relocation assistance is provided. Prior experience with youth is preferred, and candidates must be legally married for at least two years, with both spouses completing individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married status
- Spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to reside on-campus as part of a two-person team
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Proximity to Hershey, PA relocation may be involved
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Consent to both spouses completing individual employment applications
