Job Summary
Houseparents (two-person couple) at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA — Full-Time Flex Houseparents residing in on-campus homes to supervise and guide 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead devotions and Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and participate in a nine-on / three-off schedule transitioning to a placed houseparent role. Duties include daily supervision, mentorship, planning developmental activities, and engaging in student wellness and education within a structured family-like environment; requires married couple with at least two years of marriage, age 27+, high school diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA with relocation assistance and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
