Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (married couple) live on campus in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule and may transition to a placed houseparent where the couple lives and works with the same student home. Benefits include relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance options, paid time off, and a total compensation package around $180,000 per couple when housing/meal provisions are included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Chapel services
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to reside on-campus in student homes
- Capacity to supervise and mentor a group of 8–13 students
- Ability to drive students to activities
- Ability to manage household routines and student schedules
Additional Requirements
- Must be a legally married couple applying together
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus policy; no alcohol while on duty
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive student transportation
