Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple role at Milton Hershey School on campus as Flex Houseparents. Living in on-campus student homes with a group of approximately 8–13 students, responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Includes relocation to Hershey, PA and comprehensive benefits; housing and meals provided during duty period. Requires experience with youth, valid driver’s license, ability to drive student vans, and a high school diploma or GED, with both spouses required to apply individually.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to lead students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Posting notes that both spouses must complete individual employment applications
