Job Summary
Married couples reside on-campus at Milton Hershey School to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents, supervising and mentoring a group of approximately 8–13 students, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a 9-on/3-off schedule and may transition to a Placed Houseparent role, with benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement savings, relocation assistance, paid time off, and comprehensive training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year minimum married status
- Live on-campus with spouse
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Proven integrity and professionalism
- Experience with youth or volunteering with youth
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
