Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparenting role at Milton Hershey School. Married couples reside on-campus in student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and development support for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing daily routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and adhering to a nine-on/three-off duty cycle with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent in the same home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Proselytizing prohibited while supervising students
