Job Summary
Houseparents (Full-Time Flex Houseparents) reside on-campus in student homes to supervise, mentor, and care for 8–13 students, with duties including medication administration, transportation to activities, development of routines and schedules, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. The role involves budgeting and reporting for the household, initially covering multiple homes on a rotating nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, then transitioning to a consistent placed houseparent assignment with the same group of students. Requires a legally married two-spouse team (both aged 27+), high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA; relocation assistance and paid training provided. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year marriage minimum for both spouses
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Comfort leading devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Experience with youth (volunteering or working)
- Willingness for relocation to Hershey, PA (relocation assistance provided)
- Two-person role for couples
