Job Summary
Two-person married couple Full-time Flex Houseparents needed at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students in an on-campus home; managing household routines and student schedules; administering medications; driving students to activities; planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities; leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel; overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students in their own home. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; includes comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Desire and ability to lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel
