Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School reside on campus in student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and support for groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same student group in their own home. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided; on-campus housing and meals are included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
Desired Qualifications
- Two-person couple must apply; both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Experience working with youth or in caregiving/ residential settings
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
