Job Summary
Two-spouse, on-campus Full-Time Flex Houseparents reside with a group of 8–13 students at Milton Hershey School, providing supervision, mentorship, and support to promote academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include daily supervision, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel. They oversee budgeting and household reporting, follow an initial nine-days-on, three-days-off duty schedule, and eventually transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Relocation assistance is provided, along with comprehensive benefits. Employment posters specify that both spouses must complete individual applications to be considered.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse two-person role must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
