Job Summary
Houseparents (Full-Time Flex) reside on campus in student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, providing care, guidance, and support. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts as a two-person, married-couple position with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, driver’s license with drive-certification, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; includes relocation assistance and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
