Job Summary
Two-person, on-campus Flex Houseparents provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for groups of 8–13 students in student homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed Houseparent role with a consistent student home. Requires married couples, living on campus, with high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and compliance with campus policies; relocation assistance and paid training provided. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year married duration for spouses
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Prohibited alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
