Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. The couple resides in an on-campus student home and provides care, mentorship, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Responsibilities include budgeting, household reporting, and coordinating development and recreational activities. Initially, duties follow a nine-on, three-off schedule, with eventual placement as a dedicated Houseparent for the same student group; relocation assistance and paid training are provided. This role requires both spouses to be actively employed in the two-person position and meet age and licensing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
