Job Summary
Houseparents, Full-Time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: a two-person, married-couple on-campus live-in role supervising 8–13 students, providing care, mentorship, and daily routines, driving students to activities, leading devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a placed Houseparent with same group of students. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans, ability to lift 50 lbs, and experience with youth. Both spouses must complete individual employment applications and relocate to Hershey, PA. Salary is $44,768 per person (~$168,000 total per couple with benefits) plus relocation assistance, medical/dental/vision, retirement, PTO, and additional benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
