Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) live on Milton Hershey School campus in a student home, providing daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; later transition to a placed houseparent with the same student group in their own home. Relocation assistance provided; benefits include comprehensive medical/dental/vision, HSAs/FSAs, life and disability insurance, retirement, PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-person, married-for-at-least-two-years requirement for couples
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading daily devotions and chapel services
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
