Job Summary
Married-couple Full-Time Flex Houseparents reside on campus in student homes, providing care, supervision, mentorship, and support for group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and supporting multiple homes initially with a nine-on / three-off schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent role with a consistent student home. Requires two-person, on-campus commitment, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, high school diploma or GED, and adherence to campus policies (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol, proselytizing prohibited). Relocation assistance provided; comprehensive benefits offered.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- High school diploma or GED required
