Job Summary
Two-person Full-Time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus in a student home to supervise 8–13 students, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support; responsibilities include daily supervision, mentoring, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting; initial nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students; relocation assistance and paid training provided; benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement, and more; requires married couples for at least two years, both spouses 27+, high school diploma or GED, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
