Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students in on-campus housing while managing household routines, schedules, and budgeting. Administer medications, drive students to activities, and lead devotions and chapel services. Engage actively in developmental and recreational programming to foster academic, emotional, and social growth. This two-person role requires married couples (both 27+) to reside in student homes, transitioning eventually to a Placed Houseparent position with a specific on-call rotation. The school offers a structured, family-like environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, supported by comprehensive benefits including housing, meals, and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
