Job Summary
Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: a Full-Time, two-person role for married couples to live in on-campus student homes, supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage routines and medications, drive students to activities, lead devotions and chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from flexible houses to a placed houseparent assignment. Responsibilities include supervising daily activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, ensuring student wellness, and maintaining a structured family-like environment. Requires a two-spouse team, ages 27+, with a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and experience with youth. Relocation assistance is provided; on-campus housing and meals are included; benefits available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Legally married couples with at least two years of marriage
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying students to chapel services (Judeo-Christian practices)
- Experience working with youth or volunteering with youth
- Ability to reside on campus in on-site student homes
- Two-person team must apply individually

- Must be legally married for at least two years

- On-campus housing and on-duty schedule (nine consecutive days on, three days off)
- No alcohol on duty; smoke-free and weapon-free campus
