Job Summary
Houseparents, Full-Time, a two-person married-couple role at Milton Hershey School. Residents live on campus in on-site student homes and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially work nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent in the same student home. Benefits include salary per person ($46,917) with comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid time off, and training. Requirements include experience with youth, being part of a legally married couple for at least two years, spouses aged 27+, compliant with campus policies (smoke-free, weapon-free, limited pets), valid driver’s license, ability to drive student vans, and a high school diploma or GED.
