Job Summary
Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: a two-person, full-time role for married couples living on-campus to supervise and support ~8–13 students in a home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving and coordinating activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; eventual transition to a placed houseparent in the same student home. Benefits include a salary per person ($44,768), comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, and paid time off. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and both spouses must be legally married for at least two years and at least 27 years old. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in devotions and chapel services
- Mentorship and supervision of students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- No alcohol permitted on duty
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Relocation to Hershey, PA included
