Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and household management for 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Administer medications, drive students to activities, and lead devotions while planning recreational engagement. Oversee budgeting and reporting, ensuring a structured, family-like environment supports academic, emotional, and social development. Married couples relocate to Hershey, PA, for a full-time flex schedule of nine consecutive duty days followed by three days off. Transition to a Placed Houseparent role after initial support of various homes. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty. Both spouses must be 27 or older with at least two years of marriage and experience working or volunteering with youth.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
