Job Summary
Two-person full-time Flex Houseparent roles for married couples living on Milton Hershey School campus to supervise and mentor 8–13 students in a family-like home. Responsibilities include daily supervision, medication administration, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine days on / three days off to a Placed Houseparent role with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person ($46,917) totaling roughly $180,000 per couple with housing, meals, and utilities, plus relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, PTO, and training. Requires a two-year-married, two-person team with at least 27 years old per spouse, valid license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and high school diploma or GED. Location: Lima, Ohio, USA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Prohibits proselytizing; familiarity with Judeo-Christian Chapel services
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model behaviors for students
- Relocation assistance provided; paid training
- Capacity to live and work with the same student group in a dedicated home
