Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School, residing in on-campus student homes in Mendota, IL, to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications and ensuring wellness, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on/three-off schedule and progresses to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance is provided; salary per person is $46,917 with comprehensive benefits. For consideration, both spouses must apply separately.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a safe, smoke-free, weapon-free campus
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to reside in on-campus student homes and supervise 8–13 students
