Job Summary
Two-person married couple required to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, residing in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide care, mentorship, supervision of household routines, administer medications, transport students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting. The role follows a nine days-on, three days-off schedule initially, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same student group in their own home, and includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Proficiency leading students in devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
