Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students in on-campus homes while managing household routines, schedules, and budgeting. Administer medications, drive students to activities, and lead devotions and recreational engagements. Transition from supporting multiple homes on a nine-on, three-off rotation to a Placed Houseparent role with a dedicated student group. Maintain a smoke-free, weapon-free environment with strict adherence to campus policies regarding alcohol and pets. Both spouses must complete individual applications to begin this full-time commitment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
