Job Summary
Houseparents (Full-Time Flex) at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. A two-person married-couple role residing in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students, including managing household routines, administering medications, coordinating activities, driving students to events, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, with a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule transitioning to a placed Houseparent role.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
