Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus at Milton Hershey School to supervise and mentor 8–13 students in a home-like setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a placed Houseparent model with the same group of students. The role requires a legally married couple, both aged 27 or older, who will initially work nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with relocation to Hershey, PA and a comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, paid time off, and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)

- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
