Job Summary
Houseparents provide daily supervision, mentorship, and structured, family-like care in on-campus student homes. Responsibilities include supervising and guiding robust routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-on/three-off schedule across multiple student homes and transitions to a placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance is provided, along with comprehensive benefits and housing. Requires strong integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to student success from both spouses in this two-person, married-couple position.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
