Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance for 8–13 students in on-campus student homes while managing household routines, schedules, and medication administration. Drive students to activities and lead daily devotions, including accompanying them to Sunday Chapel, while overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Transition from supporting various homes to a Placed Houseparent role living with a specific group of students. This full-time position requires nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with unscheduled time available on weekdays while students are in school. Couples must be legally married for at least two years, both spouses age 27 or older, and hold a valid U.S. driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
