Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus and supervise/mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students in a family-like home. Responsibilities include daily supervision, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent with a consistent student home. Requires working a nine-on/three-off cycle initially, with eventual long-term residence in the students’ home, and relocation to Hershey area as part of the role.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person couple married at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Additional Requirements
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
- No smoking on campus and no weapons on campus
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Dependent-children limit: no more than three
