Job Summary
Houseparents (two-person, married couple) live in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School and provide care, mentorship, and supervision for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel visits, budgeting and reporting, and following a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. The role evolves into a Placed Houseparent with continued residence in a student home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
