Job Summary
Houseparents, Full-Time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School. A two-person, married-couple role residing in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group. Includes relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and housing meals while on duty.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for married couples
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Relocation to on-campus housing in Hershey, PA
- Willingness to work nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off
- Ability to lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Planned budgeting and household reporting duties
