Job Summary
Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: Full-time dual-spouse role residing on campus to supervise and mentor 8–13 students in a family-style home. Responsibilities include daily supervision, medication administration, transportation to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and maintaining a structured home environment. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; eventual placement as a Placed Houseparent in the same student home. Relocation to Hershey, PA, with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits provided. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs., and two-year marriage minimum for both spouses.” ,
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse role must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Protestant/Judeo-Christian chapel participation (devotions and Sunday Chapel)
- Experience working with youth preferred
