Job Summary
Married couples serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes in Fullerton, CA, caring for groups of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and initially working a nine-on/three-off cycle before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to relocate and reside on campus; relocation assistance provided. This is a two-person, legally married-for-at-least-two-years role for both spouses, with benefits including medical/dental/vision, retirement savings, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year of marriage — legally married for at least two years for both spouses
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Experience working with youth (volunteer experience acceptable)
- Willingness to reside on-campus in a student home and work a cycle of nine days on, three off (initially) and transition to a Placed Houseparent role
