Job Summary
Houseparents, Full-Time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School. This two-person, married-couple role involves residing in on-campus student homes to supervise, mentor, and support 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, with an initial 9-days-on/3-days-off schedule and eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided, along with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year married partnership for consideration
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Capable of leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
