Job Summary
Two-person married-couple role at Milton Hershey School as Full-Time Flex Houseparents in Hershey, PA. Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and supervision of 8–13 students in on-campus homes; manage household routines and student schedules; administer medications; drive students to activities and plan/develop activities; lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel; oversee budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students in their home. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits provided.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- High school diploma or GED
