Job Summary
Houseparents (married couple) needed to live on-campus at Milton Hershey School, serving as Full-Time Flex Houseparents in student homes of 8–13 youths. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting and coordinating activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting for the household, and transitioning from flexible positions to a placed home with the same group. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA. This is a two-person, married-couple role with phased duties and comprehensive benefits including relocation assistance. Salary is $46,917 per person annually (approximately $180,000 total per couple with housing and benefits). Relocation assistance and paid training provided.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Desire to lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Experience with youth preferred
- Relocation assistance provided
- Full-time on-campus housing role with living and working in student homes
