Job Summary
Two-person married-couple Full-Time Flex Houseparents reside on campus at Milton Hershey School and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students in a home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications and ensuring student wellness, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role follows a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule during the initial phase, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent living in the same student home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year married, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Comfort leading devotional activities and chapel services
- No alcohol on duty
- Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples
