Job Summary
Two-person Full-Time Flex Houseparents needed at Milton Hershey School in Rankin, PA to reside in on-campus student homes, provide care and supervision for 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from nine days on / three days off to a placed houseparent role. Responsibilities also include planning developmental and recreational activities, supporting student wellness, and ensuring a structured, family-like environment to support students’ academic, emotional, and social development. Compensation includes salary per person with comprehensive benefits and relocation support; on-duty housing and meals provided. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications. Requirements include high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, experience with youth, and adherence to campus safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; good role models for students
