Job Summary
Houseparents provide daily supervision and mentorship, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities with students, lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and household reporting. This is a two-person, fully-funded on-campus role for legally married couples living in student homes, caring for ~8–13 students. The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, and will transition to a placed houseparent living with the same student group. Location is Hershey, PA, with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
