Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and household management for 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Administer medications, drive students to activities, and lead devotions and chapel services. Plan developmental and recreational engagements while overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially support multiple homes on a nine-day-on, three-day-off rotation before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with a specific student group. Both spouses must be married for at least two years, aged 27 or older, and hold a valid driver's license to operate student vans. This two-person role offers full-time flexibility with comprehensive benefits, free housing, and meals while on duty at Milton Hershey School.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
