Job Summary
Two-person married-couple Full-Time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially, duties follow a nine-on / three-off schedule, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person around $46,917 plus comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Relocation assistance provided
- Relocation to Hershey, PA included

- Planned schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off
