Job Summary
Full-Time Flex Houseparents live on-campus in student homes to provide care, mentorship, and supervision for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Benefits include housing, meals on duty, insurance, retirement options, PTO, and relocation/training support. This is a two-person, married-couple role requiring strong commitment to student development and ability to meet physical tasks and safety expectations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Relocation to on-campus housing in Hershey, PA
