Job Summary
Two-person married-couple role as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role living and working with the same student group in their own home. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid time off, and training. Requires experience with youth, willingness to work in a two-spouse team, and adherence to campus policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-models for students
- Complete individual employment applications (both spouses)
